Steve Riedel was raised on a family farm in eastern South Dakota near the location his ancestors settled in 1879.
After experiencing the best and the worst of rigorous farm life in the 1950’s and 1960’s, he attended college at Northern State University where he earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.

Steve has extensive work experience in the human services field and, in addition to being the Associate Director of a residential treatment center for teenagers, he actively pursues the creative arts through his writing and wood carving. Steve loves the great outdoors, his family, and Christmas.
